Weather Update: The weather department has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, which denotes heavy to very heavy rainfall in specific areas. The heavy rains caused flooding in low-lying areas like Sion, prompting the authorities to redirect traffic. The Meterological Department has predicted light to moderate rain along with thundershowers for the day in the nation's capital. The city will continue to have cloudy skies with sporadic light to moderate rain, although the IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in several spots in Pune City's ghat areas. The IMD says that extremely heavy rainfall could occur in one or two locations in Patna. However Ranchi is predicted to have cloudy sky with a chance of moderate rainfall. Moreover the IMD forecasts that Lucknow will get a few spells of rainfall today.
